Swift N' Tasty - Crossville

I highly recommend the real Greek gyros served by a lovely and welcoming Greek family at a beautiful farm location. Everyone should try it.

Several weeks ago I called Swift Tasty to see if they were open and asked their hours. I was told that they closed at 6 pm. I also asked how much time that I should allow for cook time and he informed me that 30 minutes is enough time. That evening I called at 5:15 and nobody answered, thinking they were busy, I called every 4-5 minutes until about 5:40. No answer. If you want to plan your meal with this business, be prepared for disappointment.

The pizza and gyros at this restaurant are fantastic! I recently tried a gyro at Gondola in town and it couldn't hold a candle to the flavors here.

Swift 'n ' Tasty Is a real gem! I 'm so happy I found this place. Their food is amazing. So far, I 've gotten the Margarita pizza, pulled pork nachos, and soulvaki gyro. All were the best I 've ever had. Pizza was crisp, fresh, and they make the mozzarella, crust, and sauce from scratch. The pulled pork is tender and mmm just so good. And the gyros are some of the best I 've had, the tzatziki sauce is wonderful. I 'm from NY, and this place is Heaven sent for me now that I live in TN. You won 't find a better spot for this food. I go here weekly now to get my fix. : You won 't regret it. Ran by a mom and her son. both are wonderful people. they truly care about the quality of their business and the people they serve. :

My second visit to the restaurant was even worse than the first. The quality of the food wasn't great to begin with. I paid $22 for two regular gyros, two lukewarm cans of soda, and a small cup of slaw. The gyros had only a few thin slices of lukewarm lunchmeat-style gyro meat (not cooked on a spit) that wasn't even browned. These were the worst gyros I have ever had, and they were way overpriced. Maybe their other dishes are better, but I will never find out. Coming from Chicago, I may be spoiled, but this experience was definitely not worth it.
