Bidrage med feedbackMeh...mediocre food at airport prices. The lentil soup wasn't bad, but it wasn't very hot. The avocado tomato sandwich had a generous serving of avocado, but it seemed to be a variety with little flavor. The tomato was a small slice that was pale and flavorless. The bread was nicely toasted and it was prepared quickly. $10 for the small soup and half sandwich. Extra star just for providing seating and a light meal without having to pass through airport security.
I grabbed a cookie and a banana here, did not try the sandwiches or other items on the menu. Somewhat confused operation. Terminal A, pre-security.
This seems to be the only food facility outside of security in Terminal A. Our experience there was unsatisfactory. We entered the counter at the left end. There was one guy behind the counter who seemed to be making a sandwich. He never looked up in the 2-3 minutes we were standing in front of him. So we walked down the counter to the guy at the cashier point (Joe, according to our receipt). He took our order and our payment. We sat down at a nearby table. There, we watched a couple of other customers place and receive their orders. After about 5 minutes, we went back to the counter to check on our order. The cashier checked with the preparer and the preparer said he didn't know about our order. Eventually he prepared our food. It was adequate. Our experience there was less than satisfactory.
I stopped by La Baguette March at Logan airport at approximately 4:15 pm on Thursday, August 15th and order two avocado BLTs. The gentleman who took my order started making the sandwiches and then aborted it to finish making and eating his own sandwich his also with bacon I might add. The guy who took over had nothing in front of him but four pieces of bread and lettuce so he was left to construct the majority of the order. It was taking him forever to assemble the sandwiches, needed help getting the avocado packages opened, and kept darting his eyes in my direction. I find that part odd, and a bit creepy, but at the end of the day I was going to have a sandwich after an extremely exhausting day of travelling. He finished up and wrapped our sandwiches with his back to me, again odd, but I was about to endure an almost 4 hr. trip home to CT through the height of rush hour traffic and I was at least going to have a decent sandwich. I asked for everything to be but in a bag as we were toting a boatload of luggage through the airport and a terminal to the parking garage that didn 't have operating people walkers. Finally, after hauling everything and packing the car up I unwrap our sandwiches for our long journey home and we each take a bite of our respective BLTs (emphasis on the B) and give a quick assessment, e.g this bread is great, but so much dill sauce I can 't really taste anything else, especially the bacon. In addition there was a very unpleasant texture in my mouth that I needed to promptly spit out, which turned out to be a brown heap of spoiled avocado. My spouse was still complaining that she couldn 't taste the bacon, so I dissected both of our still almost whole sandwiches and found not a single remnant of bacon. NOTHING. How can you possible forget the B of the BLT it is the crux of the damn sandwich!? So, I call from the parking lot and I let it ring, 20, 30, 40 times and no one answers. I wait a few more minutes and complete the process. No one answers. I try this every 10 15 mins. for almost two hours, because as a passenger in a car in rush hour traffic with two mushy avocado "B "LT sandwiches I have little else to do and still NO ONE PICKS UP. After reading all of these crappy, yet accurate reviews I am not surprised that no one answers the phone there. You will also notice that no one from the company even responds to any of these reviews. That 's OK, I feel better having written it and if it takes away even one customer from their poorly run establishment which cares very little about customer satisfaction and subpar (overpriced food) than my mission is complete. And from perusing the reviews that have come before me I am looking forward to reading about them filing bankruptcy in the very near future.
The cashier rang up my selections... '$40 '.. Me: What?! For 'these ' 4 items??! Cashier re-rang my order...$18.75. Me: 'That 's what I though. ' The cashier tried to rip me off!
