Bennett's Sandwich Shop - Crossing

We are visiting Boston from Idaho. On a whim we walked into this sandwich shop. Great choice. Best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. The guys cooking and taking orders were really friendly and the restaurant is bright and full of light. Glad we came!

Conflicted in leaving this review but it is what it is. On one hand the steak was marvelously cooked, tasty, and not greasy at all; on the other hand though, Bennett 's kitchen translated grilled peppers and mushrooms provolone cheese and mayo to a HEAPING HELPING OF ONIONS (with a few mushrooms and peppers and a smear of mayo. (No provolone cheese to be seen anywhere! Tried to pick out as many onions as I could, but they were everywhere so basically, welcome to my gastrointestinal distress for the next 48 hours. (It 's not like you can send back food via Uber eats at rush hour. The fries were ok. Siiigh.

Bennett's is our go to sandwich shop in both Portsmouth and Boston. I consistently use the Boston location for lunch catering for larger corporate events sandwich boxes are hit every time. Order is always perfect and delivered right on time.

Cashier and staff were super nice and answer my questions about the sandwiches and the options. The shop was also very clean and very bright. I loved being able to sit on the window and look out while eating my sandwich. The bathrooms were also super clean as well. Would definitely recommend this shop if I was to return to the area. Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian options. I had no issues finding a veggie sandwich on the menu, Parking: Parking spots available up front, paid.

Not much value for the money and the food is sub par
