Bidrage med feedbackTries hard but food not quite there. Great menu, but just doesn’t quite deliver. Shame it won’t take much and it’s a fantastic venue. Paid extra for cheeseboard and all the cheeses were tasteless. Muscles in garlic sauce lovely and juicy but more tasted if they were just in cream. Just needs some tweaks.
Lovely concept , poorly and executed. Seriously over priced Tapas, poor quality, and many items mis advertised. Example. Chicken satay skewer. £9 for a sharing portion. Reality &1 skewer with 3 small pieces of chicken. Direct from the freezer Handcut chips£4. small portion frozen aunt Bessie home chips. It goes on. And the whole process of having to order everything via Qa codes. Not every get it . All items have to be paid in advance . Staff not particular friendly. And a dodgy DJ will th gold trainers not doing a lot . No change to music after he left so it begs the question, what's the point . The concept in a teepe tent is excellent, but everything else is lost in translation. I would suggest you avoid. Get some aunt Bessie chips and chicken skewers and eat at home and save a fortune .
SUNDOWN Their Sundown restaurant is always the best time! We went in the evening and it was so lovely. It felt so cosy on a summer evening. The food was delicious and came out quickly. I had a pizza and a few tapas options as well. I Couldn’t get enough! Service was 10/10. Everyone was so welcoming and it was lovely how they would come and check everything was okay. Overall, I had a wonderful time with my family and it is my favourite place to eat in Cromer. I can't wait to go back! Absolutely recommended for all:
After several visits to The Sundown, for dinner and for some of their fabulous events, I can definitely say it's one of my absolute favourite places to eat, drink and socialise. The twinkly atmosphere is cosy and intimate, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is really tasty with good quality ingredients and generous portions. It's a great place to meet with friends, or to go with family, with a lawn directly outside for kids to burn off energy. Just love it, and highly recommend!
We had pre booked afternoon tea via online booking. On arrival it was very hard to find a parking space as other guests had parked irresponsibly. On arrival we were asked if we could like a table inside or outside, it was such a lovely day we opted for outside. We were offered a choice of 3 tables but was advised not to choose one of them as it had bird poo on it!!!! Where hadn't this been cleaned. We chose a table in a corner of the outside courtyard. this was wiped clean before serving our afternoon tea. When the afternoon tea arrived we weren't given a presentation as to what was on offer as one usually gets when out for afternoon tea at various other venues. Apart from one smoked salmon and cream cheese offering all the other sandwiches had some sort of pickle in them and a lot of it, which masked flavours. Nobody came to ask if all was ok and would we like anymore tea etc. We had to find someone to ask. In my opinion the cost of the afternoon tea in comparison to other local venues was overpriced at £21 per person for the standard and choice which was offered. There are nicer places offering the afternoon tea experience which I would recommend rather than here. Yes I was disappointed as it was also a birthday treat.
