Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Restaurant

This was the worst meal I 've ever had at any restaurant let alone a Cracker Barrel. The dump were doughy and had no taste. It was if I was trying to eat wet flour. The fried okra was neither hot nor crispy and the corn looked and tasted as if half of it was cooked several days prior to being served. The turnips were the only part of my meal that was edible but you could have played hockey with the cornbread muffins. The only saving grace of this visit was our server. He was polite and attentive. The Cracker Barrel has always been one of our favorite places to dine but I 'm afraid it will be quite a while before we visit the store in Crestview, Florida again.

The staff were prompt and courteous. Unfortunately, the hashbrowns were considerably dry.

The service was great. The food was out in 5 minutes. We had breakfast. The hashbrown casserole was undercooked. I knew that before I took a bite. It seems the sausage patties and scrambled eggs were precooked and pulled out of a warmer. Some sausage in that sausage gravy would be nice also. How do I know they were pulled from a warmer? You dont cook sausage patties or eggs and have it served in 5 minutes and it not be hot. The food was warm when served. As a country kitchen, how do you only have grits and hashbrown casserole as a breakfast side? Why not hashbrowns, or fried potatoes of some kind? I understand why there are reports they are struggling and closing locations.

You guys can do better. This was our pot pie that we ordered to go after we already dined in. My son barely ate it. It was gross. Waste of money.
