This historic place is outstanding! My mother made the best fried chicken in the world! This place is a close second! Slogar never fails to impress!

This was a great experience! Our server Kelsey was wonderful and attentive and the food was really good. When my (super picky, eats like a bird) 8 year old took his first bite of ribs he got up from the table and hugged me can't make a better recommendation than that! I will say that the portions were HUGE I hate wasting food but we were staying in a hotel room without a way to take things home. If you can, go early in your stay and you'll have an excellent lunch the next day.

The ribs were awful. I didn't know they could be cooked to where they had no flavor. Fried chicken I was told was okay but the potatoes and gravy were bland. Corn and greens had flavor just not the type I liked sweet versus savory. Biscuits and drinks were good. Did not like being near kitchen door and hearing someone yelling whether or not they were going in or coming out. Also we were hurried out of our table after being there barely an hour.

There was a man sitting at the bar being loud and using profanities.
