Stopped in while traveling down I85, and all I can say is, wow, what a great find! The staff was nice but the food was so good. I didn't expect the jeck chicken to be wings, but it still didn't disappoint. But the most amazing was the fried catfish. Just wow! We talked about it all weekend, lol! See you again soon, TruSoul Food. Save me some catfish.

I was impressed upon walking into this establishment. I enjoyed the extra attention to detail in the decor. The food matched the ambiance. The turkey wing was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I loved the ginger added to the yams too.

My son and I were on our way home from Cary NC from a national cross country meet. He wanted to stop somewhere that we don 't have in Baltimore . We bypassed all the chain food stops (Wendy 's, Waffle House, McDonald 's ETC.. to find a tru (see what I did there hidden JEM. Once entering, the place was clean and well laid out. My son eats like a football player, he 's 6 ' 125lbs. We ordered the 2 pc chicken, corn bread and mashed potatoes. We destroyed the meal. The table hot sauce was on point and there was not one piece of chicken left on the bone. If you get a chance, bypass the chain restaurants and stop at TruSoul Food Kitchen. I wish they were closer so we could go back. Maybe next year.

Excellent service and good every time we visit. We drive from Durham to visit because the food is so good. I highly recommend.

The catfish is delicious! The collard and turnip greens are really good. The food comes out quickly and is always freshly made. The staff are so nice and super friendly.
