Costa Coffee - Crawley

It is very confusing when the staff are serving you. Waiting in the queue and the staff member takes our sandwiches, even though we are not at the till point. Then asks what drink we want, which she then relays to the staff member on the till, she then tells the person making the coffee what we want. Then you get to pay and wait in another queue. Our sandwiches were heated up and put on the tray, a while before our coffee was even made. When the coffee was made and it was all on a tray, the staff member tried to pass one of our sandwiches to another customer. whether Covid is about or not this part, really annoyed us, the fact our tray is sitting there ready for us to take but we can't get to it because the staff member is chatting to another customer, then this customer is leaning over our tray with our food on and talking and breathing on it, because he has bent down to talk within the opening of the safety screen. To say we were annoyed and the lack of hygiene and customer service is an understatement!! Our sandwich was not hot when we got it and our coffee was tepid! We will not be going here again and the hygiene levels need to be raised and maybe some staff training would help!!!!

We went for a breakfast on 09/06/21. Daryia was at the counter to take the order. She couldn’t be bothered to be there at first place and we were jut inconvenience. My 4 years old daughter picked up a biscuit from the shelf. Daryia shouted on her and took the biscuit back. When I asked her “ why you shouting at my daughter?” She threatened me to call security. The she went on that she won’t serve us any more.

We ordered 4 coffees, 1 tea, 5 toasties, and some baby chinos at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the tomato and cheese toasties were the worst we've ever had, and we ended up having 3 of them. The ham and cheese toastie was slightly better. The tea was stewed and disgusting, but they did get the 4 coffees right. Overall, we would not recommend this filthy coffee bar. Skip it.

A regular coffee stop; but this time we were there very in the early morning. That means easier parking, and lots more space in this stand-alone Costa outlet. And a choice of seating rather than the usual bun fight to find a seat at all. I mention the oat milk as my wife has changed our diet and of all the new fads with which my latte can be made, I personally only like the old 'milk ' or oat alternative. This place was tidy, the staff efficient, and the regular fare Costa 's deliver.

This Costa is a great spot with a wide selection of drinks and food. The desserts are delicious, especially the mint chocolate chip frostino which is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend stopping by for either lunch or just a drink. Definitely worth a visit.
