Bidrage med feedbackWe were made welcome in Amy's bar (upstairs by Hilton reception) from the moment we arrived until when we left. Huge thanks to Hugo and Zain who ensured we were happy and always had drinks and food when needed. Special thanks to Hugo though who took a genuine interest in where we were going and also gave us recommendations and tips when we asked and very helpful they were. We saw them talking to and helping everyone in the bar, they were going above and beyond, creating a welcoming and happy environment. We look forward to returning.
This place is a strange one. The hotel it is a part of is beautiful, has a great atmosphere, and all staff are very friendly. Unfortunately the descent into the restaurant is where it starts to unravel slightly. The menu is currently a QR code to be browsed on your phone, which is fine, but ordering was a complete disaster. My wife picked out 3 separate main courses from the menu which they were out of understandable given the current situation the UK is faced with but why not mention this when we sat down? Same with the drinks. There is no point in directing us to a menu if nothing on it is accurate. The food when it did arrive was absolutely nothing special and suffered from the usual airport restaurant surcharge expensive for no reason. The staff were trying their hardest but you can 't polish a turd. This place has a long way to go before I 'd ever recommend it to anyone.
During our two-night stay at the Hilton in Gatwick, we had the pleasure of spending time at Amy's Bar with Zain. He was incredibly accommodating and delightful to us, making our experience welcoming and enjoyable. Zain truly deserves a significant promotion!
Quick trip to UK. Nice enough food for a massive intl. hotel chain based in an airport terminal, but there was an exceptional waiter called RAJ who absolutely rocked it. Worked his arse off and really needs some recognition. Well done!
Very proactive staff looked after us well, and the food was excellent. With no Executive rooms or Lounge available due to refurbishment, the Hotel offered a very generous voucher for drinks and a limited range of food items free of charge. I had to pay for my chicken Caesar salad but it was well worth the money as I rate the Hilton Caesar salad, and my wife had a very enjoyable panini. The Bar is now much better run than it was in the past, and it was a very pleasurable experience. Highly recommended.
