The prices were somewhat steeper than expected, but this is part of our mistake not to read the menu in detail before making the drive. but it was for the beautiful land roads on the way up, the roaring wood fires, and the well cast pints. a real gem and some of the best food I had in one!

We’ve been eagerly anticipating the opening and we’re lucky to get in on Saturday of the first week. Did not disappoint. The interior has maintained all its original features and the redesign has been sympathetic to the original pubs long heritage. Food is spot on. Simple classics executed brilliantly with care and attention to the ingredients. Cannot wait for more visits. Well done to everyone involved !

One of the finest pub experiences you can possibly have. A beautifully refurbished drovers in, keeping the original cosy charm. I love the whole ethos these guys live buy, from farming there own livestock, and curing their own meats and then serving it in the pub. The food was perfectly considered and confident. You will not be disappointed. Delicious local ale was also excellent.
