Bidrage med feedbackI accidentally discovered this restaurant while I was buying mulch and happened to be very hungry. It turns out that it is now one of our favorite places for meatball and chicken parm subs. The sandwiches are quite large, so be prepared to share or save half for later. The staff is also incredibly friendly.
I purchased two Italian sandwiches, one with prosciutto, roasted peppers, balsamic vinegar, and basil mozzarella, and the other with mozzarella, roasted peppers, and balsamic vinegar. While the price seemed a bit high for the size, the sandwiches were excellent with fresh ingredients. I also tried a couple of spinach calzones which were very tasty as well.
I absolutely adore this place! The food is incredibly fresh and I find myself dining here at least twice a week. Who wants to cook at home when the food is this good? A big thank you to the lovely ladies who work here!
I'm a big fan of rabe sandwiches and Sognalo has one of the best! They call it a #18. Their bread is right in the middle of a hard roll and a soft roll. They start with the Italian meats...soppressata, capricola, and provolone. The rabe was on point. I'll definitely be back for another! The meats are of premium quality. The Italian grinder was was also excellent. I usually like a better selection of condiments, as I don't usually like banana peppers over a hot pepper relish or jalapenos.
This place is great! Wonderful, local, family-owned establishment that cooks/bakes everything in-house. I tried pretty much a smorgasbord of everything to-go: chicken sandwich with pink vodka sauce, 3 types of calzones (spinach, sausage, chicken), pasta salad, macaroni salad, chicken insalada, ceviche, arancini (rice balls), wine biscuts, and a loaf of their bread. Not a single complaint. I loved their hospitality, and loved the food even more. I've been looking for great, small, local, family-owned places very close to me... And I've found a great one! Definitely worth a try!
