Bidrage med feedbackMy family has been dining at this restaurant for as long as I can remember, and it has always been fantastic. Even after getting married and moving to Belfast 7 years ago, I have yet to find anywhere as good, even in a city like that. While many places have come close, none have surpassed it. Unfortunately, I don't get to eat here as often as I would like, but whenever I do, it is always a delight to return. Their JP Fillet burger with bacon and cheese is absolutely delicious and the prices are reasonable. This is truly the best fish and chip shop ever.
The fries are salty and greasy, and the curry/gravy has a bitter taste. I visited the restaurant twice but decided not to return.
I'm really surprised that they have any bad reviews! JP's has always been our go to chippy-my family in Portadown. Chips always fresh and tasty, good potatoes and fast service.
They gave us a meal to bring tea tonight, and I can honestly say it's some of the poorest fish I've ever had. The batter in the fish was very thick, quite heavy and heavy. I don't know how many times I've been soaked. I finished scraping what little fish there was, and empty mass grouping the kilogram. The chips were pretty good, but ultimately it was really disappointing. I won't be back soon.
Food is v greasy extremely overpriced, portions are tiny and milkshakes are now the same texture as a slush puppy. What a shame the new owners have destroyed what was one of the best chippers in town. Avoid save your money.
