Slim Goodies Diner - Cozumel

Great place for breakfast or brunch. The food is fun and unique and works really well. (Though maybe reconsider using Jewish in the name of a dish containing shellfish, hm? I'm afraid I found the food to be seasoned a bit on the tourist (aka bland side of things, so do be sure to ask for hot sauce.

Portions were excellent and the taste was great. You must come for a true NOLA breakfast. Come early!

Nice, classic diner atmosphere but completely underwhelming food. Not a good experience. Everyone is moving too fast. Burning food. Getting orders wrong. Poor quality ingredients. $70 for two omelettes and 2 pancakes. Would not recommend.

Very unprofessional staff. Our name was called to sit at an empty table. Once we were seated an employee told us we shouldn’t be sitting there. When we asked about the confusion an employee said “that’s there problem” and made us leave the table. Very rude, will not be returning.

Slim Goodies is probably my favorite breakfast place in New Orleans. I’m not from here but my dad is and I grew up visiting NOLA a few times a year since I was born. I had never heard of slim goodies until a few years ago when I met my wife, who IS from New Orleans. They have something for everyone. Whether you want a sweet breakfast a savory or a little bit of both, they have it all. They’ve got local flavors as well as flavors around the south. It’s truly all delicious.
