Hacienda Las Marias - COZUMEL

Ok so I'm not a tequila drinker and did this tasting on a lark, but boy am I glad I did! I learned more about tequila than i thought possible and enjoyed the nine samples immensely. We got a free margarita from our resort and had lunch, which was quite tasty. Don't pass this up in favor of the major name tequila place up the street, this is the real deal!

Our concierge told us about this place and believe me, it's worth the short drive up to Chankanaab! I never cared for tequila, but after our guide explained the difference between Mexican tequila and the stuff in the States, then had us taste NINE different tequilas, I'm a believer. I loved the piña colada and 8 year old tequilas. Take the free tour then have lunch and margaritas in the cafe, you won't regret it.
