Bidrage med feedbackThis is a very popular bakery with some good products. Unfortunately they charged my brother , who was visiting from the US, at par from his debit account. He ended up paying 23 dollars for a dozen small chocolate chip cookies. I will not be recommending this bakery to tourists any longer.
This is a destination bakery in this tiny seaside village. Remarkable selection of artisanal breads, bagels etc. Worth going out of you way for.
In this small sea town it’s quite weird to find one oh the top 10 bakery in Canada. The “pains au chocolat” are better than most French bakery but it has a cost nearly 5 Canadian dollars a piece !
If starting your day with freshly baked croissants is your idea of breakfast, then this is the place!!! Choice made it hard to decide.
I have no complaints about the quality of the products and service. However there is one thing that bothers me. When you use a debit card to make a purchase, the first screen you see asks what level of tip you would like to give...10, 15 or 20 percent, or other . I don 't know about you but being shaken down for a tip by any retail store for simply ringing in and handing you your purchase seems aggressive. I have nothing against tipping generously where warranted but find this in your face non-option tasteless. And if the premise is that staff depends on tips, maybe wages should be adjusted to compensate. Should we soon expect the same at the grocery store?
