Meribo - Covington

Every time I come to Meribo, my husband and I have a lovely experience. I find the wait staff to be knowledgeable about not only the food but also the delicious drink specials. Having lived in Italy for over a year, I have a special appreciation for the kind of pizza they serve and it always hits the spot. As a business owner, I always appreciate how hands-on Vinnie and Gavin are and how much attention they give to customers and also to the food! In fact, I have never been to Meribo without seeing one or both owners. That's truly rare in this industry! Every time we have been to Meribo, we try something new and we are always impressed-from the meatballs to the crudo! I hope everyone can enjoy this family-friendly, fun cutting-edge restaurant as much as we do! It's truly one-of-a-kind and I love how innovative they are with special events.

We were excited find this little gem via a google search for a place to eat on a Sunday afternoon on the Northshore!! We enjoyed some delicious draft beer(it was happy hour, so why not?! , some absolutely fabulous brussel sprouts...I will be craving until my next visit...and we both ordered pizzas, which were also delicious! The Carrot Cake dessert finished off our meal perfectly! The service was great, and our waitress was very friendly! My husband and I will be back, and next time bring our family or friends along...especially if we find ourselves on the Northshore on a Sunday afternoon, because there are no other good places to eat, that are open on a Sunday afternoon!! Absolutely one of the best restaurants on the Northshore. The pizza is outstanding! The grilled octopus is some of the best I ever had! Great pasta dishes... everything is so good!

Wow, the reviews here are a hot mess... which might say something about the place. Our group was seated outside for a little afternoon socializing. A short time later we were moved due to a party that someone forgot about... all the regular seats inside were now either occupied or reserved. We made the best of it at a high-top table and everyone had a nice time in the end. Tried the sprouts and they were ok, and everyone really liked the shroom pizza. Drink selections were limited due to an upcoming remodel??? So.. after a rocky start, they managed to provide us a nice time.

Decent quality food and atmosphere. Make sure to try the hot tots. The pizza is good but it’s a balancing act between the cheese sliding off while hot or letting the pizza cool and the cheese congealing. My guess is it has to do with the moisture content of the mozzarella. Aside from that the sauce is fragrant and the meat is tasty. The service is great. Italian queso is great but again the cheese issue.
