Pats Italian Coventry

I booked 6 people on Friday night at 19 o'clock. I received several texts and calendar reminders that asked me to confirm and remember my planned time. when we arrived, we were told that there weren't enough staff and that half an hour or more would have to wait to take a place. I understand the difficulty of solving problems with the personal, but it would have been great if the restaurant informed us about the problems and asked if we might want to come another time. the point, a reservation for a larger party is to plan a restaurant. we called another restaurant that could easily accommodate us. before our departure several other parties went out. there were no excuses and no management presence. I don't recommend it.

The food is not the issue, rather it is the lack of attention and any sense of care for the customers. We were seated at 6PM with a reservation and waited 30 minutes before our server came over, and it was not until 6:45 before drinks were delivered. 3 requests were made before water was finally served along with old stale bread. Salads arrived AFTER our entrees and only because we told the server they did not come..she seemed surprised but not apologetic. The only comment she could manage was would you like us to package these to go? . There was no management presence at all. We were presented with the check, which of course had the 20% gratuity already included, as if it was an automatic entitlement. This is not what I call dining out!

Have watched this restaurant change hands many times through the years. Current state as Pats Italian is good food and portions but horrendous service. No management around or supervision. Wait staff discombobulated, bar tenders can't get out of their own way and greeter standing there staring into space. Too bad.

They charged me for three (3) meals and when I went there to complain, Melissa, the manager, told me it as above here pay grade. Had to a complaint with Coventry Police because Melissa refused to do anything about. Complaint was resolved, not by the restaurant, but by my bank which took off the extra two meals which where NOT mine

First time there. Definitely deceiving with pricing. Menu shows house pasta 16.95 /homemade pasta 18.95 plus 2.50. When questioned waitress what the 2.50 charge was, she said it was an additional up charge for homemade pasta. AN UP CHARGE?? WHAT?? Why not just put the amount of 21.45 that you are charging the customer for the homemade pasta?? It was already 2.00 more than regular pasta. Why would they charge an additional 2.50 on top of that AND SEPARATE THE AMOUNTS ?. MISLEADING. OVERPRICED. Won 't be back!
