If you like your coke chopped and sniffed rather than in a glass then it’s ok. Frequented by every low life in the area with regular late night fights outside. Was ok when it first opened but now no decent people go

Went for Sunday lunch. Two beef and one chicken. Beef was absolutely gorgeous. Veg well cooked and yummy Yorkshire puddings. Can't ask for any more. Will be back

Went tonight with the family we ordered food. half an hour later the waitress came over to tell us we had to order something else off the menu because the chef didn't know how to cook the pasta we ordered. Then about 20 minutes after they told us they had no fish which we ordered at first we then asked how long it was going to take they said another half an hour so we got up and walked out..worst place I have ever been to

I went to the restaurant with my husband and daughters for tea. The food was served promptly and was delicious. The portion of chips that came with the girls' meals was surprisingly large. We also enjoyed the lovely pints of black velvet. We will definitely return.

The crown and thistle is a very well run local pub with lovely food at a very good price. We visited as a family for a lovely evening meal on Saturday and then again for a carvery lunch on Sunday. Very welcoming and accommodating. As a vegetarian there was not a lot on the menu for me but the lovely chef was very amenable to making something just for me. Had a very nice visit and would highly recommend.
