Split Glory - County Durham

My family and I visited this morning for coffee, cake, and ice cream. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They had implemented many COVID-related safety measures, making us feel clean and safe during our visit.

The ice cream parlour is a bit of a trek to get to, but once you're there it's a charming spot with great decor. They offer a nice selection of flavors. We opted to create our own sundaes and they were fantastic. The establishment was well-maintained and the staff member who assisted us was friendly.

We have visited this restaurant a few times and have never been let down. The decor is lively and nostalgic, and the ice creams and milkshakes are delicious. The variety of flavors is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

I went in with my mum and brother while visiting my sister at University. The staff were really lovely and attentive. The ice cream was really nice and there were plenty of flavours on offer and tasters were available as well. I would say have the 'make your own sundae ' because it means you can have three different scoops. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The young man serving was very pleasant and attentive and the decor was fun. The ice cream wasn’t great it was icy, grainy and the pistachio ice cream lacked taste. Shame as ice cream fans we thought we had discovered a new treat.
