Capriccio - County Durham

This is the worst pizza I've ever had. The crust was soggy and the cheese was greasy. The staff kept leaving the door open, so I had to constantly get up to shut it or sit in the cold. It was not a pleasant lunch experience.

I 've madw this small cafe my 'go to ' EVERYDAY when I am,in Durham. Authentically Italian, with great coffee and excellent service. The pizzas are incredible, tasty, and archetypelly Itailan. Please support this fantastic traitorous!!

Anyone who has any knowledge of coffee production or preparation beware, the following review may be difficult to read. I paid £3.10 for a flat white , which was made in a way I have never encountered in my life, nor ever hope to witness again. The espresso puck was already in the machine LEFTOVER from a previous coffee (seriously... . The server then ran water repeatedly through the already used puck 3 OR MORE times(!!! until the liquid dripping into the cup basically resembled dirty dishwater. This unholy liquid murk, filling almost three quarters of the cup, was then topped with nothing more than a few drops of overheated, overfoamed milk which I would guess had seen as many re uses as the godforsaken ground coffee. Literally undrinkable, and unforgivable for an Italian cafe to prepare an espresso drink in this way. I attempted to drink some mainly through sordid fascination but in concern for my health I quickly threw the whole lot away.

The service was incredibly slow. We waited a long time to be served, and even when our friends joined us, we still had to wait a while. We had to go back to the bar to ask about our drinks, and the place smelled of burning food. As we were leaving, a bald staff member yelled at us because he thought we hadn't paid, even though we had already settled our bill. It was a very embarrassing experience. I would recommend going somewhere else, as this place is disorganized and too expensive. The staff working there need to improve their manners and learn what good customer service is all about.

I went there with a friend today. We ordered and most of the food was not available. The food came and the pizza and the chips were completely RAW! Waiters were rude and unfriendly. I will never go back there!
