Bidrage med feedbackWe mainly came for there coffee drinks to go but it was definitely really busy in here! Based on Yelp, it seems like their sandwiches are pretty popular here but I actually didn't really see many people order sandwiches. It's a bit of a tight seating besides the outdoor bench that was pretty spacious, but the vibes here were pretty nice. I ordered this toffee hazelnut latte and it was pretty decent! Although it was a lot sweeter than I liked it to be, so the overall drink was okay haha. The parking lot is shared with many other stores, so the parking situation can be tricky, depending how busy it gets.
So very close to 5 stars. Everything about this place is wonderful aside from one fairly significant issue. The design of this coffee shop is very nice. Reminiscent of a more contemporary Cycladic architecture with Japandi influence. I wouldn't mind spending my whole day here. The team behind the counter is also a friendly bunch. The coffee here is spectacular, they don't mess around when it comes to their lattes. The place gets busy, but not too busy where it's difficult to find a place to sit. Now, the issue here is with their Internet. I can connect to it fine but many standard websites are inaccessible and I'm also unable to connect to a VPN which is vital for the line of work that I'm in. Websites fail to load and are deemed unreachable. I had to resort to using my mobile hotspot anyway. In these modern times, a coffee shop's internet is one of the most important factors for people whether they're a working professional or student. Due to this, if I were to post at a coffee shop for several hours to get work done (which I often do), I'd probably end up choosing another place. Unfortunate, as I do really enjoy the other aspects of Work in Progress.
A not so hidden gem of Costa Mesa! Parking here is a mess but it's worth it for their sandwich. I always get the Classic Sando with spicy salami. This is one of my favorite sandwiches and I think it's actually perfect. The foccacia is delicious and I especially love the sprouts in it! I dream about this often and I should definitely come here more often. I also tried their Tuna Melt Sando which is made on the same foccacia bread, this is a pretty solid tuna sandwich and the apples are a fun addition. For a melt, it's not too heavy and I appreciate that. Their drinks are a hit or miss for me but I can never go wrong with their espresso/matcha tonics. I heard they're bringing their holiday tonic back too for this season so I'll be returning very soon to try that!
Drink- 3/5. Tasted yummy! I like the idea of an herb and a coffee together. Didn't get too much rosemary as I would have liked, besides the aroma. Coffee itself tasted a little sour? I don't believe it's from the citrus topper. I assume it's from the beans itself. Still yummy though! Ambiance- 5/5. Super cute inside! There is a garage window, so it gets great lighting and views to the outdoor patio/street. Inside is rustic, modern, and boho. A wall filled with open shelves filled with wine, plants, and decor. Seating was very tight all around, limited space, limited seating. Outdoors, there were a few larger gathering tables! Great to meet with a large group. Service- 4.5/5. Cashier was super soft spoken and kind! Took awhile to make the drinks. Not just myself, but for others too. Not sure if this is just the craft in the coffee. But nothing too terrible. It is a pretty coffee!!Things to know: it's in the camp, so it's limited parking and quite crowded. there is parking in front and side of the store, I would take that into precaution as there is not private lot for this store.
Came on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't busy, but parking took some time since it's located in the Camp. They serve wine, coffee, and food.I got their classic espresso tonic which is made with calamansi lime. They also have one that's made with orange which I will probably try next time. My only complaint is that their lids do not properly fit on the cup so it spilled every time I took a sip.
