It's the little touches that make a huge difference. The room was extremely well laid out with everything you could want. It was one of the best hotels we have stayed in in the UK! We have had many good meals at the Methuen Arms sadly Sunday's lunch was not one of them. The Yorkshire puddings were burnt and should not have been served and the beef was overcooked and hard. We mentioned this to the lady who served us. A great shame for a hostel that prides itself on its Sunday roasts Service: 5 Location: 5

Stayed here a few times for work and it’s always a pleasure to stay here. The Methuen is cosy, welcoming, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The little touches, sleep spray, ear plugs and gorgeous toiletries make it special. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend! Rooms: 5 Service: 5
