Inverlochy Castle - Corran

They saved our lives! Could not find lunch on our way to Glasgow found the castle. Brilliant lunch of Celiac soup charcuterie . Lovely stop, thank you Service: 5 Location: 5

Not particularly welcoming. If the service and attitude of the staff were matched by the great building and stunning location it would be a wonderful place to stay unfortunately poles apart.The dining experience of a set menu was not an enjoyable event. It was too formal and regimented, did not put you at ease and the food not to my taste .As this was a celebration of 50 years of marriage it was very disappointing . Rooms: Room with a view and comfortable but very small compact shower cubicle with 2 narrow steps up into it with no grab rail not practical for aged or a person with mobility issues. A fan was in the room and needed Food drinks: Choice limited for dinner either eat early at a low table with limited menu or 5 course set menu at 7: 30 all persons served at same time.

Worth every penny. Stay at this castle . We loved it . My 11 yr old daughter loved it. Great place great service . Just go for it you only live once . Rooms: We stayed in two different rooms the Queens room was over the top . Yes it’s a castle . So authentic is a key motif but we really enjoyed staying the night. Nearby activities: Ben Nevis hike , the distillery tour all close by. We left here and went to Isle of Skye so a close stop before heading out or coming back Walkability: Great quick hikes around the property even pouring rain you are under the tree cover and don’t get wet. Food drinks: The Chef experience was great . 5 course . Really delicious . Even if you aren’t on that track always , go for it . Also go for a whisky after dinner in the lounge.
