Kelly's Of Looe

The restaurant was clean and pleasant, with a good atmosphere. The fish and chips were tasty, but I wouldn't say they were the best I've ever had. They were good, but I've had better.

As usual, I will be honest in my review of this restaurant. Let's start with the positives: the portion sizes were generous. However, I was not impressed with the service, which bordered on being rude. The young woman who served us seemed unfriendly and impatient. I am deaf in one ear, and when I asked her to repeat herself, she did so with annoyance, making me feel uncomfortable. The food was average in taste, but the chips were not greasy, which was a plus. Unfortunately, they were quite hard and we couldn't enjoy them. On the other hand, the fish had a nice taste with a lovely batter that wasn't too heavy. The gravy was a bit thin, but this is a matter of personal preference. Overall, I would not choose to dine here again due to the reasons mentioned above.

The fish was cooked perfectly, with a flaky texture and a light batter that we found absolutely delicious. My wife and I looked at each other and expressed our delight. Asking a local for their recommendation turned out to be the right decision, as we truly found the best option in town.

The chips were frozen chips and over cooked and the fish was smelly and had to put it all in bin. The chip shop was Dirty and unclean and the staff you can see looked like they were not liking there job.

Popped into KELLY’S as we normally do to have lunch. However, even walking in, it was plain to see that it was in disarray and extremely dirty. The staff could not be bothered to even converse or ask customers would they like to order. There were used boxes on the tables (they don’t use plates and cutlery there anymore. someone was eating and the fish was raw and slimy as the lady put it….It looked awful as the batter dripped so I am not sure what happened there. We had to leave as we can not afford to get food poisoning or any type of illness. It used to be the place to go for fish and chips and used to have the best around the area. It has been let go and has gone to the dogs. Such a great shame.
