Bidrage med feedbackA prime issue here is the service. Our waiter was Ali and despite this being a fairly expensive restaurant Ali treated our group fairly ordinarily throughout the night and made it daily obvious that we were lucky to have him rather than the other way round. He rushed our dinner and drink orders and failed to keep our wines filled during our dinner and became unhappy when we were forced to top our own glasses. No offer was ever made to refill our table water either. This ordinary service intensified as the evening went on, particularly when young attractive women started arriving in the restaurant. A very good looking woman dining alone directly across from our table received an extraordinary amount of attention from Ali who chatted to her for extended periods when he should have been serving us and others he was responsible for. The final unhappy event occurred when we called for the bill. Ali actually hung directly over my right shoulder as I studied the bill like directly over me as I was seated and I had to ask him to leave while I looked at the bill to ensure it was accurate. I know why Ali hovered like he did he was anxious to return to chatting to the young unaccompanied woman directly beside us. I’m actually wondering now how closely Ali was over my shoulder when I punched in my PIN when I paid by card. The food was good here but not exceptional. My scallops were OK but not great. My octopus was good but not exceptional. Serves are quite small. Our two wine choices in a way imposed on us by Ali were good but far from life changing. Plenty of places do food and wine as well as this and usually better, in my experience, and the majority of them have service that is far far better than we received tonight. My opinion is that they likely really only want young people here. They are not interested in an older crowd especially Ali. Needless to say, I didn’t leave a tip but the meal still cost several hundred euros. Think hard about what value and respect mean to you before you consider dining here.
I went there with my girlfriend an a couple of friends and I was shocked by the bill. I am used to high-level restaurants all over the world and I love sushi, at Il Vizio some aspect are surely superbe, but about all the rest we could definitely discuss... It was a while since last time I came at Il Vizio but the quality perception is the same or even better thanks to the improvements like the chef's amuse bouche (the mini bao with truffle was amazing , the drinks and the fact that they got rid from the menu with pictures (thanks God! . Then we came to the sore points: service is 12€/person, like in a Michelin starred restaurant (partially explained by the amuse bouche ; they sell the single nigiris (not even a couple at least for the standards for a price never seen before; maybe I was not lucky but that night the rice was not well done, not enough sticky (and that was a pity , caused a finally bad experience with nigiri, but most specifically with rolls which, btw are not at the level of my standards; something they cannot change so much is the location, outside the restaurant is ugly as well as the restaurant entrance where the bar is located. The bill was more than 400€ for 4 people (where ladies ate just one dish with 4 drinks and a normal bottle of wine was about 30% higher than the perceived whole value for the dinner, considering that we didn't exaggerate and if the ladies would have had a normal dinner and another bottle of wine the bill would have been more than 600€ easily...just to give you an idea with a stupid comparison: IYO (sushi in Milan with one Michelin star has a 9 courses menu at 125€ and 5€ service ad maybe you can find something to drink to stay in 150€. In the end I would say that I like this restaurant, and I can understand bored guys in Perugia that need to feel the trill of a good pricey sushi, but I don't think I will come again, unless some friends want to, the world is too big an there are by far too better restaurants at this price, for sure with a better view. WHAT WENT WELL: Raw materials in general, SASHIMI, Drinks and wine list, the fresh wasabi WHAT COULD BE IMPROVE: the rice consistency and the structure of rolls and nigiris, the VEG offer and the prices which are not in line with the city and the location
Great food, however the worst staff ever, in particular the manager: she is extremely rude and understands nothing about hospitality and customer service. Till they change the staff, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.
It was a restaurant in which I always get good fish and shushi. unfortunately this was the past becouse last week i got a terrible dinner. Plastic Pulp with untaste cream and eggs with truffle without any parfume and taste. Short selection of dishes. For sure something to be revised. Good red wine.
Ristorante Il Vizio is located in hotel Quattrotorri, Perugia. It offers modern italian food and sushi. All plates are nice, staff is very friendly and service is excellent!. Prices are a little bit higher than in a normal italian restaurant, but the quality of food is very high. Do not miss to taste the sweets!
