One of my favorite sushi restaurant in Coquitlam area. The food is good but the service is kinda hit miss. They usually have long line during busy time so I usually do take out. Agedashi tofu: crispy tofu delicious sauce. The tofu pieces were quite big Gomae: good peanut sauce to complement the spinach Spicy salmon tuna sashimi: the spicy sauce is my favorite! Great balance of sweet salty but it is quite spicy. The fish pieces used to be bigger but the portion is still good for the price. Awesome roll: my favorite roll! It is loaded with salmon, masago crab meat and the sauce is just YUM! It is pricy but worth it! Mangodaise roll: the mango mayo sauce is delicious! The mango inside the roll gives some sweetness to the roll. Inari: good big pieces
Sushi Town Coquitlam we were regular customer but it has gone from a great place to bad and now worse. Today we ordered Korean Style Ishi Yaki. Halfway through this dish a big fly was there. It was disgusting. No apology, nothing. I hope the food safe BC authorities check the standard of their kitchen. I am sure the kitchen is not up to food safe standards. We also got wrong orders that we had not asked for.
Food is always fresh and delicious . 10% discount on takeouts. Service is fast. Nice, good place to hang out
My experience at Sushi Town Coquitlam (STC) today May 4, 2024. My son and I stoped by STC for a late lunch and we ordered sushi for both of us; two rolls each one California roll and one salmon roll each. The nice server brought the order and I saw that the pieces at the end of the California roll had a dark color. I further examine these pieces and realized that the dark stuff was the avocado which was almost rotten. I got sick just looking at it. I called the waiter and complained. She went to the back and brought two pieces of California roll in better shape to replace the rotten food. At that point I left the restaurant and to my surprise on my way out I was charged for the two salmon rolls as those had nothing wrong according to the cashier person. Honestly no one apologized for serving rotten food and I felt so disrespected. Horrible experience with no customer service whatsoever. I do not recommend anyone this restaurant. Im not coming back again. There are many other opinions around this area why bother.
