Bidrage med feedbackThis small and cozy restaurant can accommodate around 4-5 parties. Personally, I prefer smaller restaurants, but if you're planning to bring a large group, this may not be the best choice. The hostess/waitress quickly seated us and was friendly throughout our visit. My husband and I tried the tempura vegetables, Teriyaki Beef bowl, and the fat tuna wrap, all of which were delicious. The tempura vegetables had a great presentation that elevated the dish, and the generous serving size of the Teriyaki Beef bowl made it perfect for sharing. The flavor was fantastic, although some might find it a bit salty. The fat tuna wrap was a light and refreshing lunch option without heavy dressings. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!
I went to Fat Tuna Sushi for lunch on a Wednesday with a friend from Toronto. We were the only customers in the small restaurant, which had only 4 tables. Most of the business at Fat Tuna Sushi is takeout, which makes sense due to the small size of the restaurant. I ordered the sashimi combo for $17.95, which included miso soup, salad, crispy crab rice, 7 pieces of sashimi (not the advertised 8), and 3 pieces of tempura. Despite the missing piece of sashimi, the food was delicious and I enjoyed my meal. The restaurant is Korean-owned and the presentation of the food was great, with fresh ingredients. The prices were reasonable and there is plenty of free parking available. I would definitely return, as the service was good and all Covid protocols were followed.
We ordered takeout from this restaurant and tried the dinner combo A, which included spicy salmon sashimi, negitoro roll, and various nigiris. The dinner combo was a great value and offered unique combinations, not just the typical bento with a California roll. Combo A came with 14 pieces of sashimi, 2 prawn tempura, 2 veggie tempura, and a crispy crab rice, making it a satisfying meal for two people. The nigiris were generously sized and fresh, with top-notch ingredients like toro, thick and sweet tamago, and thick slices of unagi. Sushi runs the gamut. From, I would gladly submit to death by mercury poisoning for this sushi to Oh dear, the fish is paper thin and food-court quality . Fat Tuna is consistently more on the first end of the spectrum. I have never eaten in, only had it delivered. Now, I never walked to school barefoot and in the snow...but, I certainly remember the days when sushi was not available for delivery. We 've come a long way Baby! The toro is buttery, the agedashi tofu is molten (the spicy is not very spicy), the garnishes are crisp... The custom rolls are clever and tasty. My choosy cat sampled the sashimi this round, and the licking of her lips declared it 'purr-worthy '. Prices are reasonable and portions generous.
Good sushi at an okay price. The biggest problem with this restaurant is the extremely limited seating space.
