The boiled seafood that we got was all frozen. It’s understandable that the crawfish were frozen being that it’s not in season, but the crab legs were frozen also. All of the food smelled DIRTY! Like it had not been cleaned thoroughly. To be specific, the crawfish smelled like poop. Because the crab legs were not fresh, there was little to no meat inside of the shell. For the prices that they were charging, you would think that the food would be great. But from how empty the restaurant was, that should have been a clear sign of otherwise. Oh, almost forgot to mention… one of our plates had to be sent back because they had the nerve to serve us cold snow crab. My goodness. The waiter was nice, but because it was only one of him, he was kind of hard to grab the attention of at times. After expressing my concern of the food, he gave a little discount. Still would not recommend this place for the boiled seafood.
I purchased a fish and shrimp platter with fries and purchased a side of coleslaw to go along with it all to go. The coleslaw was spoiled. It tasted spoiled and had a horrible smell to it. The fish and shrimp were good, but they literally gave me 12 fries. I called them back about the cole slaw and asked them to refund my cc for the price of it. The host said sorry ma 'am and then disconnected the call. I called back and they sent the call to voicemail. I now see why they never seem to have customers there when I pass by each day. I won 't go back.
I’m in town and wanted a taste of Louisiana, but I picked the wrong place. I ordered the shrimp and fish plate. I don’t know what kind of fish it was but it certainly was not catfish, which is what I thought I was ordering. The seafood was terribly salty, over cooked and cooked in bad grease because it was very close to being burnt.
I really hope this place stays in business. They are a little off of the beaten path since you kinda gotta know where it is or you'll drive right by. Fried shrimp is always good. Jambalaya has been awesome twice and only ok once. Gumbo has been good for me on 3 different occasions. It let's me scratch that Cajun itch when I need it. Beers are cheap, staff is friendly there are plenty of tvs for games!
Great seafood boils. Friendly staff. This is a great neighborhood bar and restaurant !
