Great service, walking distance from Wharf area. The Pastrami Reuben was incredible and as advertised. The rye bread was tasty and not too strong, a perfect blend of flavors. Visit was toward the end of the day (an hour before closing) and unfortunately the heavily advertised clam chowder from their posters and signs as being famous was sold out. I could not try. 4.5 or 4.6 out of 5 stars on the sandwich alone.Kid-friendliness: Kid meal options.Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk is accessible from the street, there are a handful of parking places directly in front of shop and doors are large enough for wheelchair to pass and stay to eat due to open dining space.
When I was a kid I lived with my grandparents and they were retired we travel a lot all over in thier motor coach. I ate a lot of club sandwiches because that's what I like to eat and I knew that they had those in most restaurants. I ordered a club here today, and this was one of the best clubs I'd ever it was like having a club for the 1st time.Vegetarian options: Veggie sandwich cold and hotKid-friendliness: Drink and juice bar
The man who owns? Or runs this place maybe shouldn't be in any service type job... He is one cantankerous dude! The sandwiches are meh to ok... We had pastrami Reubens that we pretty good for Coos Bay...but nothing to brag about.. I wish the man was a little more friendly
I found myself in Coos Bay recently and decided to go here for lunch. I told the employee behind the counter that it was my first time and asked her for a recommendation. She said the pastrami is good but they were out. I asked about the clubhouse and they were out of turkey. Then I asked her what came on the chef salad and she said she didn't know, so I took that as a sign that I shouldn't get that either. I got their French dip largely due to the fact that there few options of things they DID have and I didn't want to go elsewhere. The sandwich came out pretty fast. It had a lot of meat on it and ended up being very filling, which is about the only good thing about it. I found it to be pretty bland and even though it wasn't terrible, it certainly wasn't that good either. I might have walked away feeling better about it, had it not cost $14.
