Face Rock Creamery Cbv - Coos Bay

I just bought the Vampire Killer cheese at Albertsons. it is amazing. smooth and garlicky without the garlic overwhelming the cheese. I need to try more of their product. I just wish Face Rock was in Arizona

Semi friendly. Not huge. Wide variety of cheeses. Very conveniently located by the mill and by the water. Back soon. Ice cream very affordable and super creamy. Oh yeah!

Well. I went in first thing to grab some cheese curds. Picked up a brownie 6.99 impulse buy. Staff was super nice, helpful and great. Got home and discovered the brownie was expired two weeks ago... sigh. Went back to return it. The two really great staff people didn't have access to process a refund. They were kind, helpful, tried their best and seemed rather embarrassed. They went through the case only to find most of the items were expired, too. I waited for Heather, the manager. She couldn't figure out the refund and I mentioned that the younger girl working had figured it out, to which Heather then said that no, she didnt know anything. Wow that's how you talk in front of both employee and customer? Heather then offered to refund my onto a giftcard, which she didn't even have in the store. Finally, she called her boss who walked her through the transaction. This was a terribly unpleasant experience. The cheese samples were also dry and gross, how long had they been left on the counter I don't know. Sad because the store in Bandon is always clean and fresh. I won't go back, even for cheese curds. Kinda scared to eat what I purchased today as it is. 2/10 scared to try again.

So, I didn't know what to expect here...I figured cheese and ice cream like the store I used to stop at in Bandon years ago. Yeah no. They have cheese and wine for sale, but this place is more restaurant than a place to buy cheese. And the food is amazing! Everything on the menu is connected to the cheese they make and sell at the creamery. Awesome sandwiches and cheesy soup, fried curds, and some awesome poutine! It was so so good and the staff was awesome! Highly recommended!
