Bidrage med feedback2nd time eating here and revising my review. All 4 of our main meals were good. Ordered their calamari appetizer that our waitress was raving about. It was seasoned with a blend of black pepper and red chili flakes (we think) and marinara sauce- very odd and not very good. The dinner rolls have changed to a slightly dense chunk of dough, plain with no flavor. We later discovered some little butter containers on the table by the salt pepper, which may of made them a little better but not much. They must of changed their rolls recipe as my previous visit I wrote The dinner rolls could have been a meal by themselves! .I ordered a chef special of Linguine Rustica with shrimp. The sauce was out of this world, but the shrimps were cooked but not flavorful at all.
Lunch at Verona Italian Restaurant before a movie on our anniversary weekend. Got the baked pasta combos with minestrone for me, salad for my husband. Food was fresh, delicious, HOT, and exceptionally quick. Our server, Seth, was friendly, efficient, and really good at his job. Verona, he’s definitely an asset to your business. Tiramisu to top off the meal was divine. No, seriously, I’d walk some hot coals for a pan of that stuff. The place is immaculate (even the restroom) and very welcoming.Movie was really good, lunch was phenomenal.Dietary restrictions: I have a severe food allergy and they were very accommodating and made sure my food didn’t come in contact with any seafood or utensils that had touched seafood. A+
My visit to Verona Italian in Conway was extremely disappointing. As soon as I entered the restaurant I was greeted by a heat wave and a horrible smell. I could smell what I could only imagine is some sort of dead animal in the ceiling. When I asked the server about the smell I was told it always smells like this. The staff's lack of concern about the issue was disheartening, and it completely ruined my appetite, leaving me disgusted.Furthermore, it seemed like there were constant changes in both the kitchen and front-of-house staff (the couple we dined with said they regularly dine here and didn't notice anyone from the past). This led to a lack of consistency in service, and it was evident in the slow and inattentive service I receivedGiven the heat, smell, inconsistent service, and food poising my wife received. I strongly advise avoiding this place until they address such a severe health hazard is addressed and improve their hygiene standards. It's unfortunate because I had high hopes for a delightful Italian dining experience, but I left feeling deeply unsatisfied. My recommendation is to look for another restaurant for a better and more enjoyable dining experience.
We expected a good dinner, but when we walked in the door to be seated, it had to be well over 80 degrees in the restaurant, which made for a very unpleasant atmosphere while eating dinner. No one likes to eat at a restaurant with sweat pouring down their face. The food, however, was delicious, and I would love to go back and give it another chance once they get the AC fixed.
85 plus degree dining room was unbearable. Frozen Chicken, mushy pasta, and watered down sauce. Floors filthy, Bathrooms disgusting, poor service. It seemed they had a whole new staff. Maybe it's under new ownership? My wife asked for McDonald's next door once we left because she couldn't even eat her food. STAY AWAYFood: 1/5
