Harvey House - Constantine

Don 't waste your time or money , this place has a young rowdy crowd , staff at bar are very rude , wrong type of crowd on weekends , food isn 't worth it , would give 0 stars on everything ,it 's not the same 'harvey house it used to be , new owners have ruined this place

We went here as a second choice since Cowboy Up lost power. For a small town bar, it had a good atmosphere, and was pretty fun. Not what we typically look for when going out to dance and there weren't a lot of people dancing but we still had a good time. It was karaoke night though we could still listen to different music through the AMI system in the pool room. We played pool, ordered mix drinks, and danced to our own playlist. Bartender was excellent and it was nice to be able to order food while drinking. Our selection: Jager Bomb drink, Liquid Marijuana, Red Bull and vodka, BLT with fries and Boneless Wings with fries.

It's a nice place to stop in and get a bite. In a small town with friendly people. I would stop in again. Plus they have a dipping sauce I had to take home. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

They often bring in rap music groups to this small, peaceful farming community, which some may find unexpected. Prices are on the higher side, and some feel that the owners and their vision do not align with the charm of this town. The reviewer personally will not return and will advise others to stay away until ownership changes. It is worth noting that the owners responded defensively to negative reviews and offered free appetizers in exchange for 5-star ratings. It is speculated that there may be a change in ownership or the restaurant may struggle financially in the future. Parking can be limited due to law enforcement presence during events with gangster rap music, but there are alternative parking options nearby. The presence of a dive bar that also books gangster rap music may not make it the best spot for families with children.

I have personally witnessed toilet water dripping from the ceiling onto the kitchen prep station and the pool tables at this restaurant. I would rather eat bugs off the floor here than the food. The service is slow, with children working behind the bar taking five minutes to make a drink that is likely to be made poorly. Overall, I rate the food as a 1 out of 10.
