The castle was no longer inhabited. ! Everything was quiet and abandoned. No. Visitors. No more open?
This was a great gastronomic experience. The room itself is phenomenal with large wooded beams, a fireplace, a wallpaper, all oozing refinement. The Maitre d' was in a suit; the waiter, right black clothes. Had to start the foie gras terrine. It was so rich....The presentation... for all courses... was a cut above. The main course was French beef with a truffle sauce with juicy potatoes and vegetables. Had the cookie for Dessert, a simple work of art. A beautiful local red wine brought everything together.
The chateau is very nice, the building looks amazing and a lot of hard work has gone into restoring it. The rooms are poorly furnished and in need of a refurb. Could be some much better for little extra cost.
Super chateau experience wonderful eating and amazing ambiente revisiting in 6-8 weeks thoroughly recommended; theu looked after the puppy very good also fantastic
