Hogar Del Jubilado - Comillas

Came here for a late lunch on a weekday because virtually all the other places in the town were shut at 2pm and the ratings were very good on Googlemaps. It is in a side street so it’s only attraction is it’s food and ambience. We were surprised to find it was quite full of Spanish people and locals which is a good sign! The place is very clean and well looked after run by a family that have pride in what they do. The menu you get online with a good selection of local food, tapas and mains plus alcohol. You need your Spanish as no English is spoken! We ordered squid a mixed salad and Cod with tomato along with a bottle of wine. The dishes were excellent both in quality and quantity and the service very good with the daughter working very hard across all the tables. The bill came to 45€ for two of us which is excellent value for money fully recommend for local food and service.

Un gran sitio para almorzar en Comillas, hemos pedido ensaladilla rusa (buenísima), cachopo de jamón y queso (impresionante) y de postre tarta de queso (delicioso). Para 2 adultos y una pequeña de 7 años. Totalmente recomendable el lugar.

La comida estaba buenísima y la camarera te hacía sentir en casa. Este finde volvemos por la zona e iremos segurisimo. Recomiendo reservar porque suele estar lleno

We looked for a place to eat that was not the typical restaurant made for those outside that was of worse quality and high price. We found it by chance and saw that people sitting were the people themselves. the puppy was huge and super rich and juicy, it served us to fill us both. Very nice waiters and normal hair.

Discovered online. We were treated by a very skilled young woman and with a very effective many would want her for their business. We ask the menu of the day and besides being all very good (first mountain cooked for 2 that could eat 4, and peppers filled with seafood) the amounts of leftover. recommended site if you go to appointments.
