You could not hope that a lovely old place really cozy and traditional, with friendly owners and employees. there is a large selection of traditional pub food and a very nice selection of frequently changing specialties. well cooked, delicious food served in good time. also the beer and the apple wines loved. outside the sitting corner extends into a beer garden with views of the landscape. we recommend the olde globe inn for a great evening in a cozy atmosphere.
Fantastic Sunday lunch; the Vegetable Wellington was superb as were the accompanying dishes, all prepared from scratch and freshly cooked; what a pleasure. The pub itself is cozy, well maintained, and has a sense of history being so old. The service was efficient and friendly and had a friendly vibe. There is a good sized beer garden and a carpark to the rear for patrons. Just up the road there is the village shop car park which is much larger and also free.
Quaint pub, nice staff, very good food good portions
A lovely, authentic pub brimming with character. The generous portions of classic pub fare were just right for two very hungry hikers. The staff was friendly, and the beer garden was charming. We enjoyed two drinks and two main courses, finishing our meal in about an hour to continue our walk. We didn't experience any delays or poor service, contrary to what some other reviews mentioned. We would definitely return.
I visited this restaurant three times during my holiday, and each meal was excellent with generous portions. The weather was lovely, allowing us to sit outside in the garden. It’s also dog-friendly, offering a water bowl and tasty treats for our furry friend. Since they only accommodate a limited number of diners, reservations are recommended.
