Rhos Fynach Tavern - Colwyn Bay

On holiday with the family, we had a few drinks, the chicken strip ciabatta and the prawn sandwich. Our daughter had the tomato pasta with cheese. Food was lovely, drinks were as you’d expect but the service was fantastic. The Brunette lady was absolutely amazing especially in terms of communicating with our daughter and her demeanour in general! All in all, I would definitely recommend! P.s if you’re very tall like myself then you may need to duck from time to time

We went on a Sunday and there was live music. The service was quick with a good selection of beers. Very dog friendly with loads of seating outside.

Disappointing. 10 years behind pub grub standards. This pub food tasted like it was bought from a supermarket and cooked in a microwave at home... my fish was burnt. Can’t you get fresh fish by the seaside. Sachet sauces shouldn’t exist anymore. The price is a lot higher than any chain pub and the quality much lower. Please review how other pubs cook food and move with the times to improve the quality. People don’t expect the earth with pub grub but this one took the biscuit.

I was a little disappointed when visiting today. The staff were welcoming and friendly however the food let it down. The prawn cocktail was bland and watery with basic lettuce, however the bread was lovely. I also had southern fried chicken strips on warm ciabatta with fries. Again, basic lettuce with only 2 small chicken strips which I think were frozen, as well as the fries (apologies if I'm wrong). The children only wanted chicken strips and chips, which they charged us more just to leave out the bread and coleslaw. We were full after our meals but it's not a place I would plan to revisit. Compared to the same dishes at other places I have been to, unfortunately they don't come close.

I honestly wish I had taken pictures but the Roast Sunday Dinner was lovely. The roast potatoes were stunning and veg cooked to perfection. The young waiting staff were so profesional and run off their feet. They really are a credit. The decor might be a bit tired but the food and service was excellent.
