Jaap's Catch - Colwyn Bay

Fantastic fresh fish and chips. Crispy thin batter and lovely big fillets of haddock. Perfectly cooked chips and quirky Welsh curry. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10

The owners were far from friendly when I called and I had to wait quite some time to be served, The chips appeared to be reheated and the fish was just okay, the portions were small, It is hardly ever open and quite frankly nothing to write home about

What a great chippy. We were in the area walking on the beach in the late spring sun and needed to get something to eat. Straight up marine drive turn right and it’s on the left I was told by a local, you can’t go wrong they do cracking fish and chips I was told. What a fantastic friendly chippy who sell outstanding fish chips. The person who told me to go there thanks, you were spot on they were the best I’ve had in north Wales in a long time. I will certainly be going back to Jaap’s fish n chips.

Fish and chips great, curry sauce watery and mush peas a little tough. Acceptable enough.

The fish and chips were very nice. Unfortunately it is still take away only.
