Beckey's Cafe - Columbus

If you travel between Houston and San Antonio or Austin along the US 10, a breakfast or a lunch break at Beckey's is a must. Pass past the intersection of 10 and Hiway 71, go north a mile or so to old Columbus. We recommend the cowboy breakfast with homemade cookies, bacon thick and crisp and sausage perfectly seasoned. When closer to lunch, the Cheeseburger is as good as those parts. But see the clock, it closes at 2:00.

Updates, had breakfast with eggs over easy today. Perfectly cooked. A month ago I thought of fast coffee and cake (so sweet could hardly eat) but their cakes look really good. Old little town coffeeshop. And the coffee was good. I have a veggie plate for lunch because I was too late for breakfast. Beets best, Lima Beans, Mac cheese little salad. Just a little more taste. Sweet little café! Had the club sandwich and it was delicious! Family had Burger and said they were great! I don't know if we ever go through Columbus again, but we'd stop here again.
