Great food and service; excellent locally-owned restaurant; definitely a Columbia institution.

I’m a little late in posting but we held my son’s Rehearsal Dinner here in June and it was fantastic! Everything we could have hoped for! The atmosphere is very lovely and intimate, the food was amazing! They were accommodating! We were very pleased with our event here!! I’m out of state but can’t wait to return when I’m visiting again!!

I have been a patron of Villa Tronco for at least 18 years, and can say with all honesty, they never fail to achieve 5+ rating! It 's a landmark, and the family that are the owners are some of the nicest and caring people on the planet! Be sure and try at least ONE of the desserts! Entrees are all exceptional also. One of my 'go to ' places!

Family owned Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Columbia, South Carolina. The food is hands down the best Italian ever! The seafood Alfredo is so rich and creamy. The atmosphere is both casual and upscale. They are only open for dinner. Great place for date night dining.

Started off fantastic great service, best crab cake I 've ever had, delicious house salad. My entree (seafood pesto) left me a tad disappointed, especially for the price. Huge portion of linguine the creamy pesto sauce was delicious, however my scallops weren 't quite cooked properly (underdone only browned on one side), one of the muscles was very gritty (hadn 't been properly cleaned) and all the shrimp had tails on. At a place as nice as this, I didn 't expect to have to spit out a bite due to biting down on a hard granule, nor put my fingers in my food to remove shrimp tails. When I told the waitress about the muscle she just said oh sorry about that . Not the reaction I was expecting, and since the others are the table were enjoying their dishes I didn 't want to make a scene. Willing to give it another try, but definitely won 't order a seafood dish.
