Great southern hospitality served here along with large portions of awesome homemade southern dishes. Such a cozy little restaurant with a charming wood burning stove. Thank you Marcy Jo.
I've been to several down home, country style, off the beaten path, southern cafes in my life. Marcy Jo's absolutely is the cream of the crop! From the moment you walk in it's just like stepping into your grandmother's house. The Buck stove is crackling in the middle of the floor making the interior extremely cozy, and the aroma of home cooked food is absolutely heavenly. The entire staff is extremely friendly, and personable as they talk to you about who you are and where you're from. They treat you as you should be treated, like a person. We were honored and privileged to meet Marcy, Hopi, Rory, and his cute as a button daughter Indiana. Rory is not your protypical superstar. He is an extremely approachable person and the most down-to-earth gentleman I have ever met. He called my wife and I by our first names and engaged Us in conversation for a few minutes. He even asked if we would like a picture with him which I thought was extremely generous. I would not hesitate to support this small business again if I'm ever passing through the Columbia area. I highly recommend it! Oh yeah, the cinnamon roll is to die for and an absolute must try!
My family and I enjoyed breakfast at Marcy Jo’s. If you want a country breakfast with all the local charm this is the right place. If you want to be healthy don’t come here lol. The biscuits and gravy were delicious! The best gravy, full of sausage. Also some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Great service too.
I just had breakfast today. Excellent very nice people, come back!!!
