Izumi Express - Columbia County

My first time eating here. I got the teriyaki shrimp bento box. SO good!! And the price for the portion size is unbeatable! Flavorful and good quality, awesome job Izumi!

Let me just say, this is probably a hair better than the Izumi buffet. I keep returning. The sushi tastes fresher. The specialty sushi is always good. It doesn't hurt that they're very large either. Service is always quick and there is no nonsense here. The hibachi portion, although still better than the buffet needs some work with seasonings. It's simply salt and pepper. It was ok, decent take and eat, there was a misunderstanding in what exactly got ordered but I will humbly blame myself for not being clear. Service was quick, meat was cooked fresh and was best part of the meal. The rice was ok, par boiled not long grain so not to the quality I expect from hibachi express or not. The shushi was better then some but not my favorite, we didn't eat all of it as some became warm on the drive home and call us crazy neither adult is good with

This place permanently raised my expectations for any restaurant with Express in the name. I ended up coming twice for lunch during World Series week to grab a hibachi bowl a roll of sushi. Flavorful and filling options all over the menu. It 's quite busy at peak lunch time so make sure you order ahead!

I have eaten at a thousand Asian places all over the country because of my job. This is one of the worst. I had a teriaki chicken bowl. The guy who took my order said they had snow peas. They gave me zucchini which I don't like. He didn't care. The chicken is terrible rubbery and loaded with fat. The steamed rice seems old. Don't waste your time. You are better off with a microwave dinner from wallyworld. Yuck!
