Pilawoos Food Panchikawatte - Colombo

During my recent visit to Colpetty Pillawoos, my favorite spot for late-night cravings, I was disappointed by the customer service. Despite my usual fondness for the restaurant, the service at this particular branch did not meet my expectations. The cashier was unprepared and did not have enough change for transactions, which immediately created a negative experience. Additionally, their rude response when I brought up the issue made the situation even worse. As a loyal customer, I had hoped for better treatment and professionalism. The lack of courtesy and efficiency shown by the staff affected the pleasant atmosphere I usually associate with Pillawoos. Good customer service is crucial in the late-night food industry, and this experience fell short. While the food quality may still be good, the poor service at Colpetty Pillawoos is a major deterrent for future visits. As someone who values good service as much as good food, I urge the management to address these issues promptly to maintain the restaurant's otherwise positive reputation.

I ordered the fried chicken kottu and found it to be lacking in flavor and of poor quality.

This Sri Lankan style restaurant serves up typical local dishes of excellent quality. The value for money here is great. Highly recommended!

Had my first ever string hopper biryani here. Very much enjoyed it. Very tasty and with plenty of veggies. The place doesn't look much but the food is good. The waiters seemed helpful and friendly. Service was quick which was perfect for us.

I have had many cheese kotthus in my life, and this place always captures my heart. They are the pioneers of cheese kotthu and, in my opinion, still the best to date. The portion sizes may not be as large as they once were, but they are still enough for two people. The restaurant itself is nothing special it’s not air conditioned and it’s not the cleanest place but the food more than makes up for any shortcomings. There is no dedicated parking, but you can park your vehicle on the street. Despite having visited this place countless times, I have never ordered anything other than their cheese kotthu, which I can confidently say is the best in town. Edit: 2023.08.13 It wasn't great this day, but it was still a good Cheese Kotthu. I have attached the image below.
