Dolce Italia - Colombo

The place is o.k. for a casual outing for a meal. They don't serve any alcohol, but you can carry your own and consume it. This is a Halal place, so don't expect authentic Italian cuisine here. for the price you pay, there are better places in Colombo with better Italian spread on offer. The service is good. You can get some Italian food items and Ice cream in the retail shop inside the restaurant.

I never tire of visiting Dolceialia on Skeleton Road. The restaurant exudes amazing vibes with friendly people. It is possibly the best authentic Italian restaurant in Colombo city. The food is delicious, clean, and fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I have visited several times and have never had a bad experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the best Italian food.

This is a frequent spot for me. Recently got their aubergine lasagna (love beef lasagna (too acidic from tomatoes , custard croissant (yum and a passion fruit baked confection of which I don’t remember the name (double yum! . Prices are a bit on the high side but I love the products they have available the range and the taste. Absolutely recommended.

I came to this restaurant based on reviews, but was unfortunately disappointed. I visited for dinner midweek in April 2022. We shared the Bruschetta, which was prepared differently than usual but tasted good, though not exceptional. For our main courses, we ordered the Seafood Risotto and Beef Lasagne. The Seafood Risotto had very little seafood and lacked flavor. The Beef Lasagne had a different preparation and was just okay in taste. The service was lacking, as the staff seemed unsure of the menu items and could not explain the dishes properly. There was no communication with guests about the food and empty plates were left uncleared for over 20 minutes, despite the restaurant being very quiet with only around 20 guests. There were at least 5 staff members, a cashier, and another person who appeared to be a helper. They did not offer or ask if we wanted dessert. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant and do not recommend it. Thank you.
