La Petite Fontaine - Collobrieres

We have been going here for over twenty years under the old ownership of Etienne and his family. It was great food at at a great price with a fabulous atmosphere. Now it has all changed for the worse. An open kitchen means you are subjected to the terrible chef shouting at staff and the smell of the deep fat fryer. The sullen waitress was as unfriendly as she was lazy. The small menu of dishes was unappealing. We had terrible moulds which inexplicably were swimming in oil with crumble on top. The whole experience was awful and sadly we shall never return. Bring back Etienne and bring back real food!

We had a delicious 3 course lunch here with our toddler. Tasty fresh Provençal dishes with a nice glass of rose. Luckily they have a charming waiter who speaks great English. He kindly explained the menu which was a huge help! We brought food for our son as as expected there wasn’t much suitable for him. Highly recommend for a leisurely lunch in the sunshine

A group of friend and I cycled to Collobriere this morning for our coffee stop. One friend was enquiring about the location of the restaurant so I showed him the location. A little surprised to see the place closed. Looks like renovations of the building being carried out. There is a sign outside where to go for this temporary inconvenience. I had a conversation with a local who informed me it has changed hands and not as good as it was. All I say wait for the opening and give it a try.

The menu is very traditional, and all the better for it. You can tell they have been making these dishes for years. Went with a large group so got to try almost all of the menu. Chicken in Garlic was the standout but everything was delicious. Great value for very large portions. Worth a detour!

On ne saurait par ou commencer tant le service est poussé dans le moindre petit détail, ce qui déjà , pose l'ambiance générale de ce restaurant ou se sent comme chez mamie pour le dimanche midi après la messe dominicale ! Inutile de préciser, bien évidemment la cuisine suit la lignée de la première remarque. Un goût d'enfance et de terroir vous réveille les papilles . Tout le monde est aux petits soins, la cuisine est merveilleuse. Niveau rapport qualité/prix/convivialité je n'ai pas trouvé mieux ailleurs ça c'est sur! Ne venez pas chercher les chichis , ici c'est comme à la maison avec le professionnalisme de rigueur. Une super expérience gustative , un incontournable à faire et refaire . L'endroit où le temps s'arrête pour n'y trouver que du plaisir .
