Bidrage med feedbackNo great experience here. We ordered to take and said it would take an hour, it wasn't a big deal Friday night. About half an hour later we called and said it was another half an hour because they didn't know where the driver is?ok. My husband picked up the food. They were from Samosas or something they gave us a deep fried flower-flower appetizer, which was okay. The naan was great, but the butter chicken and rice were both really bad. The sauce for the chicken of butter was lumpy sweet as if it had poured sugar in it and the rice had mixed whole cloves in it? It just didn't go together. Maybe next time we'll try something else, but that wasn't a good meal.
Almost did not order food after reading the reviews, but I am glad we did it. We were looking for Halal Desi Essen in Collingwood and that was the only place. We have shrimp Biryani, chill chicken and chicken tikka from here. Everything is done to order so you must order 30 minutes ahead. The chill chicken was AMAZING! Chicken Tikka was also good. The shrimp-Bryani was a little different than I like, but it didn't taste bad. I don't know why people say that the staff is rude, my husband went to get food and had a pleasant experience. My husband forgot to order Raita, but the guy did it right for him and not even for him. I guess customers should show some respect to the guest workers before they expect it????
The food is delicious. How Indian can I say the food is on par. No seats here. I advise you to take the food in a nearby park with a picnic and enjoy it there.
Worst Indian food I had in a while. Paneer Currys were under par, and Paneer's texture and taste was strange. Tandoori Rotis was so hard that we had to throw away most. The employee at the switch was rude. I suspect the five star reviews they received. Stay here.
First time visited from toronto and was looking for indian restaurant and found coriander's kitchen, only Indian restaurant in Collingwood. I bought chilli chicken, daal tarka, Butter chicken, baingain bhartha, chicken madras and naan. First of all of the dishes were excellent and on top of that not oily at all. Had to wait 30 mins because everything is fresh not ready made like other restaurants, you can see them cooking, so it is worth waiting for the food, and the naan is so soft and crispy damn it was so good. The stuff are so good and the owner makes you feel overwhelmed. The most surprising thing is they are all Bangladeshi but they are food is better than the other Indian restaurants I have visited. It gives you a nostalgic feeling take the first bite. I m only gonna order from them until my stay. Thank you guys for this wonderful dinner.
