Bidrage med feedbackThis is a great restaurant in an outlying neighbourhood of Parma you 'll need a car to get there. It means The Granary in English and appropriately, we had a view of a grain field (and the resident peacocks) as we ate dinner. This was truly one of the best meals I had in Italy. We did a tasting menu for the antipasti, so the variety was amazing. I had the most beautiful, thin, soft, fragrant prosciutto ever. For primi we did the four plate pasta tasting menu: the local classic Tortelli D 'Erbetta was great; a nice penne type pasta with a light cream sauce and spinach was also tasty; but the star of the show (can 't remember what the 4th one was) were the gnocchi. My facebook update that night was: Amazing dinner last night in Parma. Among the many delights, the best gnocchi EVER. Fluffy, light heavenly pillows of gnocchi delight, enrobed in a sumptuous four cheese sauce. As God is my witness I shall never buy packaged gnocchi again they have the weight and size of caribou turds (can 't vouch for the taste there). Must learn how to make these little gems. It 's been 9 months since this meal and I am still thinking about it!
Super friendly staff, very nice place and quality. tips.
I can't recommend this place highly enough! We always bring visitors to Parma here as the food is fantastic with a huge variety to try; it's great to be able to try tastes of various dishes. The service is always very friendly, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I'm sure we'll be back again very soon!
My brother in law who is an Italian living in Parma recommended this excellent Trattoria just outside Parma as the food has an excellent reputation with the locals here and it is always full, although at lunchtime during the week you can always get a table. The title of Pizzeria should not put you off visiting this rustic traditional restaurant as the dishes are excellent, of local influence and extremely fresh and tasty. We simply shared several anti past dishes including complementary broken pizza slices, deep fried zucchini, mozzarella cheese with fresh herbs and tomato, and a fresh generous dish of Prosciutto di Parma. We also could not resist sampling the delicious tortelli pasta with ricotta cheese and sweet pumpkin. To complement our food we had an excellent bottle of Malvasia, a sparkling chilled white wine of the locality. For our sweet course we had the oven baked whole apple in a honey syrup which was delightful The service is lightening fast and the owner and waiters are real characters who are proud of the Parma tradition as the recognised food capital of Italy. Price for three of us including anti pasta dishes, prima pasta, 2 bottles of wine, water, coffee and digestive was €90. Will certainly be revisiting il Grannie very soon.
Our hosts in Parma recommended us this one and we were pleasantly satisfied. It's not a typical Parma restaurant, they serve mostly southern Italian dishes, but they're good at that! We just went ahead without the menu and trusted the chef. The selection of antipasti was especially nice and extensive. Pieces of crunchy marinara pizza were also constantly delivered to our table.
