Il Monte - COLLE DI VAL D'ELSA

We saw this on the way into Castel San Gimignano and wanted to give it a go so we went one evening in August. The service was good. Pizza was nice, but a little more tomato sauce would have made it much better. Family of 5 with a bottle of water and sodas was about 65 euros. It was actually a nice meal and the view was nice too. I will be going back to try the pasta carbonara.

Simple restaurant, but very good kitchen and friendly motivated staff. price moderate; for Tuscan conditions.

Stopped here for impromptu lunch. Service was good as was the house wine. Both the wild boar pasta and caprese salad were excellent, however the let down was the venison ribs which were really overdone (tasted like burnt lamb chops)

Excellent and diverse choice of Tuscan food. I personally eat only seafood and vegetables; we went to that restaurant 3 times and we always find a great choice of food available

We had dinner with 4 adults, 3 Teens and 3 Kids. Coke and Selters good, Beer wasnt, Vernaccia di San Gimignano ,75L) okay, as 2 different Pizza. „Pici con porcini“ Tuscan style Spaghetti with yellow boletus) unusual.
