Railway Diner - Coleraine

I come to castlerock several times through out the year for a weekend break. This takeaway is always our first meal. The service is fantastic and the food is gorgeous, portion size is just right. We have always recommended it to friends and family coming down. Keep up the good work and see you in September!

We made the mistake of ordering a chicken chow mein and a special fried rice as main courses. Asked for curry sauce and gravy extra as we know these can be dry. Worst chow mein ever. Consisted of 95% fat dry noodles, about 6 pieces of chicken, no vegetables at all except for a couple of sliced carrots! Dry as a desert, no sauce. Special fried rice was similar, no vegetables and next to no meat. Exceptionally dry. The order came with no curry sauce or gravy. Would definitely not go again. Chips were OK.

Myself and my partner had a takeaway from here, on our way to our caravan. Both meals were the worst we have had in years. My special fried rice was bone dry, came with no sauce at all, virtually no meat but filled with carrots!! The tiny fraction of meat was hard and dry. The rice was horrible. My partner meal, chicken chow mein had almost no chicken, no onions, nothing but big gooey noddles Terrible.Both meals were binned.Would not recommend at all

While staying at a nearby caravan park, we decided to try out The Railway Diner. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious freshly prepared food. The menu offered a great selection of Chinese dishes, as well as some additional options. The staff was friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the quality of the food was excellent. We will definitely be returning in the future!

I ordered takeout from this restaurant twice this week while staying in Castlerock. I must say, the food was fantastic both times, with excellent service. I highly recommend it and look forward to ordering from here again next time we're in the area.
