El Toquito - Coldspring

I am not sure why so many bad reviews. Just relocated to Coldspring six months ago. I have been here 5-6 times always a great experience. Good solid food and service is great. Most of the times it's during the day. But still. With social media these days so many can have one experience and then so many have fantastic experience. After Covid you must have patience!

Stopped for lunch and the place was clean, the service was quick, chips were good severed with a spicy and non spicy salsa. For that I have it a 3 star. I ordered the chicken chimichanga with rice and beans. It came with a velveeta like cheese sauce all over it which was a yuk for me. I ended up removing the chicken from the inside of the chimichanga and ate it with the rice that wasn't covered by it. Left the beans, the chimichanga shell and all that gooey cheese on the plate. Although I didn't enjoy my meal I ate it and it was okay. It wasn't horrible and there may have been something better I just will never know so in a pinch it was ok.

This place was a good spot before covid and NOW they don't follow the guidelines .. We enter with mask sit down and order something to drink and then after us two parties come in with no mask and employees don't tell them anything at all so we bring it up to the waiters attention and it seems like if she didn't care because more people came in without masks so we decided not to dine in and left! We asked for manager on call and he said he didn't care and we will report them

All the meals that I've had at this restaurant have been delicious, and prices are very reasonable too! The service is great, and they always prepare the food fast! My go to favorite is the El Taquito Special!
