Bidrage med feedbackFirst visit of the olive tree for Sunday dinner and it will not be the last. we decided to lame with all the circumcisions and I mean all circumcisions, with roast kartoffels, mash, carrots, vomiting, kohl, brusselsprossen, yorkshire pud and stuffing ball....All washed with wonderful gravy and mint sauce. well cooked and presented and good value for money recommended.
We ate here 5 times over 2 weeks holiday. starter are € 1.50 and although limited choice, very nice they can get a great breakfast, lasagne, brain puss, burger, fish N chips and much more. the main dishes are €5 and beautiful boiled chips with salat value...for money is fantastic and if it is not enough on their teller then they buy another. only 5 €. they also have Scotch eggs, sausage rolls a D-cheese and bevel pasties on the bar as snack to buy. we will use defo again and recommend it very much. Sunday dinner is not the biggest, but another. the puddings are beautiful and only €2,50 per. amazing worth. we ordered our lamb dinner to avoid disappointment and I was full of my head and plucking, ****. Don't miss them on these tasty eating in the sun.
My partner and I went to Sunday dinner after we had been recommended before the conclusion. the menu on the wall had four different meat choices, although we were offered only bark and lamb. I have chosen what was advertised on the...Menu as a juicy bark and my partner went for the lamb. the young man who waited for it took our drink order and asked the weather, we wanted the bark or the lamb, so we made our choice. after the drinks arrived some minutes later our food, accompanied by a small crug and a dish of cauliflowers, carrots, peasants and spits. the gravitation was acceptable, the inherited had been frozen, as I were sure that the spits, the carrots and cauliflowers were possibly fresh, but tasteless. the meats were cut far from juicy, but dry and tasteless) not from a joint. the brat potatoes I am sure were either frozen or chilled like the yorkshire puddings. nothing was spiced. I can only say that my beef dinner is, as I suspect, a frozen ready-made dish tastes. I ate everything when I starved and drove there for an hour. at no time we were asked if our meal was satisfactory. even if I asked for my bill. in the summer. we were very disappointed and will not come back. I think the necessity of booking is not more than a sales gimmick. when I booked, I was told that we could go at 12-30, 1-00 or 2-00. we were in fact only two out of 9 people at a place where I think I would be able to accommodate about 50 covers.
Had a fabulous night at the ABBA tribute night and a lovely Sunday lunch today, the food was really good and fantastic service. I would highly recommend the Olive Tree
It is three years since we last reviewed this and, as we live locally, we do still visit regularly. Fish and chips are superb as we have remarked before. Currently Sunday lunches are great value. An option of a bowl of soup as a starter....Roast beef and alternatives come with a Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast and mashed potatoes on the plate plus a large dish of other veg to share. Vege options available, even including vege gravy. Always more than we can manage. All for €7.50. Delicious desserts available too. Friendly staff, good prices for drinks and overall excellent value for money.
